Christian Rump

I am a Certified Financial Specialist (FH) and a Registered Life Planner. After several years with a major financial services group, I became self-employed in 2009, following my part-time degree programme, right in the midst of the financial crisis. During my years as an independent adviser, I provided advice based on transparent fee arrangements and built client portfolios on the basis of scientific evidence and academic research.

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, whether riding my mountain bike or exploring the countryside on hikes and walks. In general, I am someone who appreciates the good things in life and loves cooking, enjoying good food and wine, or simply relaxing with music and a good book. I spend as much time as possible with my wife, our two sons, and my friends.

Why I work with Neunundvierzig:

Among the German colleagues who follow a similar advisory philosophy to my own, Nikolaus Braun and Stefan Heringer have consistently been the people with whom I most enjoyed exchanging ideas over the years. Especially given my background as an independent adviser, being part of the larger Neunundvierzig team from October 2024 to July 2025 was a valuable experience. I was particularly impressed by the entire team's unwavering focus on creating a positive experience for clients, as well as by their openness and warmth.

That is why, in July 2025, I joined forces with BuckAdvice Fee-Only Financial Advice, combining our experience to build a strong and effective fee-only advisory firm. Our goal is to make the Neunundvierzig advisory approach accessible to a broader audience. To that end, we regularly exchange ideas and coordinate with our colleagues at Neunundvierzig, whether through workshops, joint client meetings, or events.
